Architecture in ViennaVotivkircheVotivkirche was commissioned by the Emperor Franz Josef 1 on the spot where he survived an assassination attempt by a Hungarian nationalist Lebenyi in 1853. The impressive neo-Gothic building was designed by architect Heinrich Ferstel and built between 1854 and 1879. |
